Our Approach

Welcome to Lumen Therapy Collective. Our mission is to help individuals of all ages feel empowered to navigate life’s complex and challenging moments with greater clarity, confidence, and compassion. We believe that every person has the innate ability to grow, heal, and evolve, and that meaningful change begins with understanding the relationship we have with ourselves and those around us. We know how overwhelming it can feel to face trauma, substance use, or emotional challenges alone, but you don’t have to. With empathy, lived experience, and humanity, we walk alongside you every step of the way, helping you transform pain into purpose and darkness into light.

Our Services

  • Practical, collaborative work that helps you notice unhelpful thinking patterns, practice new skills, and create meaningful change in daily life.

  • A space to better understand your thoughts and feelings as well as those of others, supporting more stable moods, clearer choices, and stronger relationships.

  • Gentle, image-based trauma processing that reduces distress from painful memories and sensations, often in fewer sessions than EMDR.

  • Hands-on, creative approaches that engage mind and body to access emotion, insight, and movement when words alone may not be enough.

  • Support that looks at the whole system, not just the individual, to improve communication, boundaries, and connection so everyone can grow.

  • Developmentally attuned care for teens that blends structure, respect, and skill-building for the development of identity, resilience, and real-world coping.

  • Nature-integrated therapy that invites regulation, presence, and connection, settling the nervous system into a grounded sense of perspective.

  • Compassionate, evidence-based care that addresses the roots of use, repairs relationships, and supports sustainable recovery—from harm reduction to abstinence—without shame.

  • Movement-based therapy that helps process emotion, release stress, and build embodied awareness while mitigating symptoms associated with trauma. No dance experience required.

  • Mindfulness-based cognitive work that cultivates presence, reduces reactivity, and supports a steadier mood over time.

  • A refined space for partners to strengthen communication, deepen understanding, and grow together with intention.

  • A mindfulness-based approach that cultivates acceptance, aligns actions with personal values, and fosters a life of purpose and authenticity.

  • A collaborative, client-centered approach that inspires self-reflection, strengthens motivation, and supports meaningful changes in behavior.

  • A structured, skills-based approach that helps you break overwhelming problems into manageable steps and build confidence in making effective decisions.

  • A goal-oriented approach that focuses on increasing meaningful activities to improve mood, motivation, and a sense of purpose.
